University of Waterloo
Digital Communications Coordinator
In my position as a Digital Communications Coordinator, my role was to support the production and maintenance of content for the University’s web pages and social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube. I was responsible for managing the University’s social media editorial calendar, scheduling articles for posting, and liaising with the different faculties to schedule social media posts. In addition, I adapted stories for web publication by writing copy and giving titles to articles. As well, I measured the analytics of the various web pages using Facebook and Twitter analytics and Google Analytics, and compiled the data into detailed reports which were presented to members of the Marketing and Creative Services Department. I am familiar with using HootSuite, SmartSheet, MavSocial, and Iconosquare.
In addition, I attended and photographed campus events where the University's President was present, such as the groundbreaking ceremony for the University's new residence, the Velocity awards ceremony, a workshop by the founder of the Pebble watch, Eric Migicovsky, and a test drive of Ontario's first self-driving car.
