Social Media Specialist

From January to September 2020, I led the social media marketing strategy for the Canadian led global virtual business conference, Ignite Digital 2020. I worked closely with members of the national marketing team to establish a set of brand and style guidelines and a logo that would be representative of the 2020 conference. Some of my responsibilities included creating a social media presence and building a following, creating a content calendar, writing copy for social media and the conference website, designing graphics and producing videos to promote ticket sales, engaging with participants and high-profile speakers during the conference weekend, posting social media updates during the conference, collaborating with cross-functional teams with members from across Canada, and measuring the weekly analytics of the social channels to track progress.
